Anyone who comes up with some form of a tactic should post it here for improvement and discussion. Here is one Idea called A-wing Strike(I know it's from the hand of Thrawn section but we probably can improve it. Ok a group of X-Wings flies (in Backwards V formation) at a big crruiser full speed that we want to bring down they go full speed when at the last second they pull up and then underneath the X-Wings the whole time was a group of A-Wings(sorry no bombers or big ships these ships must be small and fast. If the X-Wings can mange it they should fire a couple Proton Torps at the Cruiser. Let's say the Cruiser was about the size an Alliance Medical Frigate. Then the ship probably would be destroyed but if it was let's say a Star Destroyer then the ship would be lose a lot of shielding. The A-Wings can be substituted with Proton Torps. My other strategy is you know how Y-Wings always are used on Bombing runs well why not use the Y-Wings as guard ships for other ships it will definately be a better tactic the Y-Wing looks like it is going to go on a bombing run against a Star Destroyer When they actually engage the fighters like the ships constantly try to get tp the star destroyer and when they get there they use only Ion Canons on the Turbo Lasers and on the second run the fighters will leave the Y-Wings alone more so than before and this time the Y-Wings bomb the enemy ships to bits. I'll call this one A-Wing switch (the name will make it sound differant than it is.)

that is cool leekor. the only thing is ive done a few multiplayer combat runs in other games before and we tried formations etc but we always end up getting split up once engaged.
so then we got this system going where we each had a buddy's tail to look after. the point is to stay near your buddy and cover his a$$ the instant he sends a distress signal. and then someone else covers yours and so on. this way the whole group tends to stay togther and you only have to look after one other fighter.

yeah I agree. maybe with the huge ships we should all agree on a soft spot to target. you know, like shield generators or engines, and then we can bring that component down real quick if we're all shooting and launching missles.

if you've played rogue squadron we know where to shoot. Tael should help us create a tactics manual once the game comes out and we just call out the tactic name that we'll use and it'll be a code almost and we'll teach all warriors all tactics. (what species will you be Myo)

make a human enemy think we're 30 times more organised than we are. Formations main weak points are any big explosion in the middel will wipe ut a lot of fighters and the predictability though people will have trouble attacking head on and some degree to the sides

Just watch any fighter pilot movie and thay always tell you to never leave your wingman---Top Gun. So theoretically if you group 2-3 people together you have people watching backs and others doin stuff while watchin others backs. Drunkbo

That's true in real life too Drunkbo.
In the Marine Corps, we used small 4 man teams called a fire team. The 4 man teams were trained to work together to help each other and cover each others backs.
Fire teams would then make up squads, having 3 fire teams and a squad leader for a total of 13.

Thanks Janel I am total 80s film nut and have seen what to do and what not to do in a real life combat altercation. Plus my bro had a brief stint with the marines and he will be able to give a little strategy. Plus i am an avid paintballer and you use small tactical plans in those as well Drunkbo
