A Work in Progress chart allows us to monitor what we are doing.
It ensures,
1. that everyone is doing something
2. that DEV tasks in the Web section don't get ignored
So to help this run efficiently, Ive created a 'Board' for each dev member.
Start a new thread for each task. Thread title is the task.
E.g, Write the webcopy for the About Us page
Keep the posts really simple like
----------------------------------------------------------
TASK: Write the webcopy for the About Us page
STATUS: In progress
----------------------------------------------------------
If you are waiting on someone else to check it you might write
----------------------------------------------------------
TASK: Write the webcopy for the About Us page
STATUS: Waiting for other members to check it over
----------------------------------------------------------
And when it is complete you can write
----------------------------------------------------------
TASK: Write the webcopy for the About Us page
STATUS: Completed
----------------------------------------------------------
If you want to request that someone else does some work on something, post to their WIP board, with REQUEST: <task here>
If someone REQUESTS you, please acknowledge whether you can do the task now, or how many days delay.
And have fun! ;D
tael.
PS. this is a system I implement in company's when they want to increase efficiency. works well usually.
PPS. the names are listed is alphabetical order! if I could have listed them in a circle I would..
